Yarra Valley has launched a virtual cellar door series

Victoria’s famed Yarra Valley are rounding up their many award-winning wineries for a bit of an interactive virtual experience that should keep enthusiasts satisfied while on lockdown. 29 of the regions’ best producers have come together from this, a Virtual Cellar Door platform which is taking place every Thursday from now.

The concept is simple. You visit one of the Yarra’s cellar doors through Instagram video and then join a winemaker for a live stream chat over a glass of wine. Find out what makes them tick, ask questions, and be given the option to purchase from two different mixed six-packes on the Wine Yarra Valley website to be shipped within Australia for free.

Just tune into @WineYarraValley at 5pm every Thursday to start the tour, during which you can go online to order one of the curated six-packs or a “Pick Your Own Pack” which gives you the choice from a selection of over 40 different Yarra Valley wines.

“This is a great opportunity for wine-lovers to still be able to indulge in their Yarra Valley winery visit from the comfort of their couch,” said Yarra Yering Winemaker Sarah Crowe.

All wine packs can be purchased from wineyarravalley.com.au and the Instagram live feeds can be access at @WineYarraValley.
