Totti’s is now doing takeaway, and yes that puffy woodfired bread is on the menu

Pick Up at Tottis

Totti’s has become somewhat of a phenomenon for Merivale, swiftly rising to become a dining institution thanks largely to their famously charred woodfired flatbread. Now, Totti’s has joined the chorus of restaurants around the world cutting dine-in options to adapt to social distancing measures.

The beloved Bondi local will be doing takeaway from The Bottle Shop between 5pm and 10pm every night. This includes bread, pasta and meats ready-to-eat from the safety and comfort of home for anyone who pre-orders online.

Mike Eggert will be handling the dishes, which includes said flatbread and antipasti, flavour-rich pastas, wood-fired meats, salads and sides. Diners can also choose from the full range of wine, spirits and beer in store, or order pre-batched cocktails online.

Pick Up at Totti’s follows Merivale’s announcement that it creased trading restaurants and bars for the foreseeable future, as a result of the recent Government orders to combat COVID-19. Merivale is working hard behind the scenes to determine how best to operate under the government’s new takeaway and home delivery guidelines, in the hope they can continue to serve guests safely and maintain a livelihood for as many of their much-loved employees as possible.

Although, the hospitality empire continues to work on other at-home initiatives for their many venues. More should be announced in the coming weeks as we all do our part and stay at home as much as possible.

Available at The Bottle Shop | The Royal Hotel, 283 Bondi Rd, Bondi | 5-10pm, every night

And remember to check with your favourite restaurant if they have pivoted to takeaway, pickup and delivery. If you can, order directly with them so that there is no middle man getting a commission. We all want our favourite spots to survive this situation so that when we come out the other end, and we will, we can jump right back into our best life..
