Rockpool Dining Group to reopen Sydney and Melbourne venues

In light of lockdown easing further with the new rule of 50 guests at a time, Rockpool Dining Group has begun opening their many restaurants across Sydney and Melbourne in stages.

Whilst the hospitality group has over 80 restaurants, venues will gradually reopen over the next few weeks. “We don’t want to rush into things too quickly in case demand for dining out is not there across the sector, or there are setbacks in the easing of restrictions by state governments,” explains Thomas Pash, Rockpool Dining Group CEO.

Safe-dining measures have been utilised across all restaurants and will be consistent with government mandated health and safety regulations. Hand sanitisers are available in each venue along with dining tables being spread out to comply with the four-square metre social distancing rule.

All restaurants have also implemented the tap & go and order-ahead concept. The contact-less feature will involve an app on your mobile enabling access to digital menus and making digital payments. Along with an order ahead platform on the app to order in advance and pay for pick-up meals.

While Sydney’s popular Spice Temple is yet to announced a reopening date, the venue has temporarily turned into another Rockpool Bar & Grill. The takeover was announced in response to a rapid uptick in bookings at the original location, fitting out the basement restaurant with a casual concept from the Rockpool Bar team available for sittings Tuesday to Friday 12pm and 2pm, and Tuesday to Saturday 5pm to 8pm. The menu borrows from of Rockpool’s best bar dishes and drinks, with a few additions from Spice Temple.
