QT Hotels & Resorts launch their very own riesling in collaboration with Seppeltsfield Wines

They’ve already created their own gin in collaboration with Four Pillars, now the personality-led QT Hotels & Resorts have gone and made their very own white wine. In partnership with Seppeltsfield Wines, QT have mined the iconic Quelltaler Vineyard and come up with the QT Riesling.

Available exclusively across QT’s signature restaurants and bars in Australia, QT Riesling has been described by the hotel group’s wine director, Chris Morrison, as “super sessionable” with a particular love of local shellfish. That should go well with the various options on the menu at QT’s best restaurants, including Gowings Bar & Grill at QT Sydney, Pascale Bar & Grill at QT Melbourne, Santini Bar & Grill at QT Perth, Yamagen at QT Gold Coast, and Capitol Bar & Grill at QT Canberra.

Riesling was sourced from the Clare Valley region of South Australia, a terroir known for producing some of the best rieslings in the world. Citrusy and acidic, the tasting notes read like a pitch-perfect Riesling, defined by a signature burst of lime which should pair up well with some oysters and snapper.

“We are thrilled to partner with QT Hotels & Resorts across Australia. The seamless alignment of our brands helped us to reach a distinctive label design that is modern, yet contemporary, which also reflects the wine style perfect,” said Seppeltsfield Wines Head of National Sales & Marketing Lauren Mudge. “The QT Riesling was sourced from our plantings in the Watervale sub-region of the Clare Valley, showcasing our most historic 80 year old vines of the renowned Geisenheim clone.”
