Alexandria-based No. 5 Restaurant, Winner of the AGFG People’s Choice Award 2020, has teamed up with the ever-reliable Archie Rose to put together “Date Night” food and drink packages for at-home diners every Thursday.
Priced at $99, the packages are available every Thursday of this month, and will rotate each week but generally contain numerous share-style dishes, dessert and two specially made Archie Rose cocktails. If you want to add some wine, that’d be an extra $20 on top.
For the first menu, which launched last week, the dishes in question with swordfish ceviche with charred corn, sriracha and manchego; grilled whole spatchcock with freekeh, tabbouleh, tarator and harissa; brussel sprouts with umami glaze; and a dessert of coconut tapioca pudding with caramel pineapple and coriander. The cocktails included with ready-to-drink including options like Espresso Martinique, Vodka or Gin Martini, Negroni and Tall Poppy.
Packages are designed to cater for two people who will be sharing the meal at the same address.
Anyone hoping to get on board for the next Date Night package should place an order by 12pm on Monday for Thursday (with free delivery) available to Alexandria, Redfern, Zetland, Green Square, Waterloo, Rosebery, Erskinville, Newtown, Camperdown, Enmore, St Peters, Stanmore, Marrickville and Tempe.
