This weekend, Sydneysiders can get their haircut with a side of whiskey and a brisket sandwich at The Cut

Darlinghurst duo Red Lantern and The Cut Barbershop have hooked up with iconic American bourbon distillery Buffalo Trace Kentucky for a very limited edition offering Sydneysiders should be jumping all over this weekend.

This weekend only, The Cut owner Mark Jensen will be opening up a limited number of chairs so anyone can get a fresh beard trim or haircut (or both for $50) with a whisky cocktail made with Buffalo Trace Bourbon Whiskey and a loaded Asian Spiced Pulled Beef Brisket Sandwich. Lunch, libations, and your grooming issues taken care of all at once.

The Cut has long been one of the more unique barbershops in Sydney, taking over a private dining room of the modern South East Asian diner Red Lantern. The two businesses are attached, so it makes complete sense Mark should be using the kitchen and the barber’s seat for this unique collaboration.

The fresh shave will come with a Xoch Lo Sour, which is Buffalo Trace Bourbon with sichuan pepper syrip, chilli, and lemon, shaken over ice. The unique sandwich you’ll get also uses Buffalo Trace Infused Hot Sauce to help bring an extra smokey angle to the slow-cooked brisket.

As long as you make a booking beforehand, it’s just $75 for the whole package, which includes the grooming service of your choice, the sandwich, and the cocktail. At the end, you’ll also get a bag with a mini bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon and a Fever-Tree Smokey Ginger Ale. Although if you want the fully monty, The Cut will also be slinging a 700ml bottle of Buffalo Trace for an extra $50.

You’ll just need to make a book here.
