Messina has made an indulgent Nutella cookie pie

One of the most reliable truths in Australia’s busy scene of casual eats is that Gelato Messina will always manage to tease out that wide-eyed child inside of you. You know, the one that acts as if they’ve just discovered dessert for the first time and hence goes all weak at the knees over just the thought of scooping up the new creation. Messina has done it again.

During lockdown, the gelato gods gave away plenty of their mega-indulgent cookie pies, but now they’ve given new life to the treat with a brand new version. Released today, the third-gen cookie pie – officially “The Messinatella” – draws on the unholy strength of the choc-nut ambrosia otherwise known as Nutella.

And it’s as simple as that. The Messinatella will be available for pre-order from Monday 8th June, settling on a system that should ensure less people miss out on the obscene yet orgasmic dessert.

All you’ve got the do to get your hands on a Messinatella Cookie Pie is head to the website linked below, choose your pick up day and time from any Messina store (except The Star or Coolangetta) between the dates of 11th and 14th June, and then pick whatever gelato you want to add. Once you’re pre-order is confirmed, rock up to said store during your slot and just try and control yourself while they hand you what could possibly be the greatest moment of your life, you’ll be in public mind you.

A Cookie Pie on its own will set you back $20, but if you want it with a tub it’s going to be extra, from either 500ml ($28), 1L ($34), or 1.5L ($39).
