Koko Black & Connoisseur team up for new Australian ice-cream range

Artisan chocolatier Koko Black has been quite the busy brand this year, with numerous new releases dotted throughout 2021 and keeping us well chocolate’d-up through lockdown. Their latest collaboration is perhaps their best yet, teaming up with Connoisseur Gourmet Ice Cream to deliver a new collection straight to your freezer.

Released to align with World Dessert Day, Koko Black has turned some of their iconic chocolate into a new ice cream range which is now available from convenience and grocery stores across Australia.

The range features two flavours, but upon tasting them we kind of hope it continues to expand. The first takes premium vanilla ice-cream and coats it with Koko Black’s signature 54% dark chocolate. The second is even more exciting, with honeycomb ice cream coated in Koko Black’s signature Tasmanian Leatherwood honeycomb pieces in 54% dark chocolate.

Both are ridiculously indulgent, but still somewhat light when compared to some of the heavier ice creams in the supermarket.

“Connoisseur was thrilled to partner with Australia’s finest chocolatier to create a truly immersive sensory experience for ice cream lovers in time for World Dessert Day,” said Connoisseur Gourmet Ice Cream Marketing Manager Eileen Whitta. “The flavour pairings were matched to appeal to the Australian palate, showcasing quality local ingredients to thrill the senses.”

Given it’s Koko Black, you’d expect these to be priced at a bit higher. Thankfully, they aren’t. You can grab these delicious creations for $8.40 per 4-pack or $4.40 for a single loose pack stick.
