“Better By Half” is Jacob’s Creek new low calorie wine collection

With many Australians opting for healthier alternatives and maintaining a balanced lifestyle, Jacob’s Creek has introduced their latest wine range, ‘Better By Half’. With this new range, the renowned wine label is catering to those who want to enjoy a beverage without the guilt or anyone looking for more conscious drinking.

Containing half the calories and alcohol of traditional wines, the range features 750ml mid-strength bottles of Pinot Grigio, Rosé and Brut Cuvée Sparkling.

During the wine making process, the alcohol is separated with a unique filter. A 50% decrease in alcohol has been implemented with an ABV of 5.5%. This ultimately condenses the calories in half, equating to 36 calories per 100ml glass of wine.

Jacob’s Creek Winemaker, Trina Smith explains the inspiration behind the wines: “We wanted to offer people wines of true varietal character – whilst also achieving lower alcohol and calories than were previously available in Australia – getting to a true ‘half the alcohol, half the calories’ wine.”

Fresh seafood dishes and salads are recommended for the Pinot Grigio, whilst an assortment of light dishes such as a charcuterie board will pair excellently with the Rosé and Brut Cuvée.

Jacob’s Creek, Better by Half is available now from Liquorland and First Choice for an RRP of $21.99.
