American-style Harvey’s Hot Sandwiches opens next week

If you’re looking for some chunky, finger-licking sandwiches, look no further than Harvey’s Hot Sandwiches. Taking up residence in the $3.2 billion redevelopment of Parramatta Square, the new venue is right in the hot spot of Parramatta. Owned and operated by Chifley Square’s District Brasserie, the group are are also opening up two more restaurants later this year, including Ruse Bar & Brasserie and Threefold Pastry.

Paying homage to the classic American diner, the venue design brings forth retro neon signs, art posters and black and white photos that beam with nostalgia. Whether you’re a lover of the classic subs or keen for some signature American flavours, Harvey’s Hot Sandwiches has got something on the menu for everyone.

Hot on the menu is their Nashville Hot Chicken, with Buttermilk Fried Chicken Tenders, Vinegar Slaw, Pickle, Comeback Sauce with a spicy option scaling from “How Hot Do You Want To Do – Hot, Damn Hot Or Wtf! Hot.” For Philly Cheesesteak lovers, this sub is served with Shaved Scotch Fillet Steak, Grilled Onions, Provolone Cheese, Hot Pepper Spread. Classic favourites are available such as their Meatball Sub With Pork And Veal Meatballs, Garlic Butter, Marinara Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese or a classic Club with Turkey, Crispy Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, Mayo and Gouda Cheese.

Otherwise you can create your very own sandwich with your choice of meats and fillings. First up is the bread, you have the option of choosing white, wholemeal or GF. Next up is your fillings, either brisket or pastrami with the choice of two dressings, ‘Simple’ is Spicy Mustard, Swiss cheese or ‘Sloppy’ with Russian Dressing, Coleslaw, Jack Cheese.

For dessert, choose from fresh homemade vanilla and chocolate or their ice cream sandwiches, with an abundance of toppings to choose from such as their Hot Nutella from the Fountain, Pecan Crunch, Rainbow Sprinkles, Whipped Cream or Gaytime Crunch.

On the drinks front, order some old school house made Ice-cream Floats created with Vanilla Cream, Coca-Cola, Raspberry Lemonade, Orange, Creaming soda. You can try their Frescas that are made daily in house with flavours of Passionfruit and Orange, Strawberry and Mint, Lemonade.
