Flour Market’s massive donut festival is returning to the streets of Melbourne this month

Get your gluttonous self down to Melbourne Central on Wednesday 17th May because the fine folk behind local institution Flour Market are putting on a one-night-only festival dedicated exclusively to one of the greatest culinary creations of all time: the donut.

The world’s most livable city boasts some of the finest donut connoisseurs in the country, many of which regularly pump out some of the most insanely creative donut toppings Instagram has ever seen. Rounding them up all in once place to help tempt everyone with a free-entry smorgasbord continuation of their wildly popular Day of the Donut afternoon, which took place in June of last year, seems like the most excellent of ideas.

Not convinced? Wait till you see who’s signed on to set up a stall and pump out their indulgent treats:

Shortstop Melbourne; Bake & Co; Cobb Lane; Ascot Value Food Store; Doughboys; Candied Bakery; Ahhh Donuts; Baker D Chirico; All Day Donuts; Pierre Roelofs’ Jam Donut Dessert Tub; and none other than Bistro Morgan – the wickedly talented 15 year old Morgan Hipworth who was recently profiled by Vice HERE.

We’re expecting more than a few of these to be offering a few exclusives on the day; and even if they don’t, just having all those inventive donut menus in one spot is more than enough.
