Christopher Walken Features in new Qantas Assure Ad Campaign

Qantas‘ ad campaign for their new health insurance program makes good use both of Christopher Walken’s acting range and his highly pun-able surname, as he gets on stage to demonstrate how one might earn points by runnin’, dancin’, climbin’, and – of course – walken’.

The health insurance and wellness program will allow its members to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points for keeping active, even in everyday activities, thanks to wearable technology and a Qantas Assure companion app. The initiative has also been endorsed by the National Heart Foundation.

“Qantas Assure helps people get value from their health insurance every day by rewarding them for simply being on the move”, says Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant.

Members can earn up to 70,000 Qantas Points in the first year – enough to fly from Sydney to London – and though “Walken” is the focus here, Qantas is currently exploring possibilities for the inclusion of other fitness activities, such as swimming, cycling and yoga.
