Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival teams up with Mercure Canberra for an all-in capital experience

The annual Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival is back for its 9th year on Saturday 19th March from 11am to 6pm in the the gardens of the heritage Mercure Canberra in Braddon, and will showcase Australian breweries as well as live bands, food and family entertainment.  The Festival will present more than 80 beers and ciders for tasting, and visitors can take part in beer/cider food matching sessions, hear guest speakers, and meet the brewers. It’s the perfect day out for beer and cider enthusiasts of any level.

Breweries present include Sydney Brewery (who recently took out the awards for Champion Draught Beer and Champion Cider at the 2015 Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show), Thatchers, Little Creatures, Dad and Dave’s BrewingStone Dog MeaderyYenda, Hope Estate Beer Co and many more.

Visitors to Canberra can also take advantage of Mercure Canberra’s “4 the Love of Beer Fest” package, which includes two nights’ accommodation (Friday 18 and Saturday 19 March) at the 4-star Mercure Canberra, a 4-pack of award-winning Sydney Brewery beer and cider, free entry to the beer fest, 4 tasting tickets for beer fest, breakfast each morning and a 4pm check out on Sunday, allowing a full weekend to experience the ‘buzz’ of Canberra.  The Mercure Canberra offers heritage style with modern comforts, and is central to the city’s shops, bars, restaurants and major attractions.
