Burgerpooloza will now be a two day burger festival at Manning Bar (Sydney)

Over 10,000 people clicked attending for Hashtag Burgers’ inaugural Burgerpooloza, a gathering of some of the best damn burgers you can find in Sydney. That’s significantly more numbers than organisers Ben Kagen and Archie Saliba could have possibly expected when they rounded up the likes of Pub Life Kitchen and Bar Luca for this burger love-in planned in the homely courtyard of Vic on the Park, so in order to meet demand the duo have shifted their in-demand, on-trend foodie fest to a much bigger larger venue that’s able to hold all these burger fiends – Manning Bar.

USYD’s famed Manning Bar – which has hosted the likes of OutsideIn and One Day Only in previous years – will be the new scene of this flippin’ awesome event, which has also been extended to two days because trying to fit all those burgers in on just one day is a very foolish – but admirable – goal.

““Our original event would have had lines from Marrickville to Redfern so we knew we needed a big change and fast.”, wrote Saliba and Kagan on the Facebook page for Burgerpalooza. “We want to guarantee entry, control lines and make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. As such, the event is being moved to the 16th and 17th of April at Manning Bar and will be ticketed.”

The changes have also brought in new additions to the burger lineup, including quirky CBD favourite One Tea Lounge, who will be coming equipped with their ice cream sliders to add a bit of dessert to the mix. Already confirmed outlets include Bare Grill, Pub Life Kitchen, Barrio Cellar, Milk Bar by Cafe Ish, Chef’s Kitchen, and Bar Luca. Each will create a festival-exclusive burger to offer in addition to their signatures.

Another addition to the line-up will be announced closer to the date, as well as a few more surprises.

It’s only $6.99 for a ticket to gain access to all these burgs, and tickets are on sale from Wednesday 16th March. Each day is split into lunch and dinner sessions.

The whole burger affair will be soundtracked by Hashtag DJ’s as well as the super reliable Mike Who, as well as complimented by some fully stocked bars. Stalls open from 11am until 4pm for the lunch session, and 5pm to 9pm for the dinner sessions. More information and tickets can be found HERE.
