8bit and Gelato Messina are giving away free food for a month

Free food lovers rejoice, as both 8bit Burger and Gelato Messina are kindly giving away freebies in Sydney and Melbourne, for a whole month. Not only that, but the free food is all from exclusive creations in partnership with Liven to celebrate the launch of their own cryptocurrency. Hence, the food is cryptocurrency themed (wtf).

Starting from the 23re October, both popular food chains will be dishing up the goods, with 8bit slinging a “Insert Coin” burger with smashed avo and feta, crispy bacon, tomato and their signature beef patty. On the other side of the scale, Gelato Messina have made four new Crypto flavours, including a peanut butter gelato with white chocolate covered potato chips that they are calling “ChipOCurrency”.

The cryptocurrency itself sounds fairly swish, although we are in a bear market right now. The app originally rewarded users with up to 25 per cent of their bill back, but now that’s been switched to LVN, a token that can be spent at any restaurant on the platform, sent to friends to settle a bill, or bought and sold on the open market. When moon?

Liven will message out instructions every week and customers will need to follow those to claim the free food. You can download Liven here.
