The Sprout Harmonic 4.0 Bluetooth Headphones are a high quality alternative to the ones in the market with a lower price tag

If I’m being honest, I’m the type of person who uses technology until they are falling apart; to the point that the foam of my headphones is ripping through the seams and the Bluetooth connectivity drops in and out.

So it’s safe to say that my current headphones have gotten the best use out of me over the last 7 years.

But that also means that I haven’t been able to fully take in the new advancements in headphones, other than the times I’ve been able to use a friend’s or family’s headphones.

So when I was able to review the Harmonic 4.0 Bluetooth Headphones, I jumped at the opportunity.

Design

One of the best parts about Sprout’s packaging is how visually pleasing it is. Even before unboxing the product, you know the main features from the get-go from the packaging itself.

When you first open the box, you get to see the slick and handy casing that holds the Harmonic 4.0 Bluetooth Headphones, a USB-C to USB-C charging cable, an aux-in audio cable, a plane adaptor, and the product manual.

The added foam padding on the ears (which are also labelled with L and R on the inside) and around the top of the headset adds a layer of comfort, with the ability to easily adjust the size of the headphones to fit your needs.

On the left side of the headphones, there is the USB-C charging port and an Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) button, so users can easily switch from ambient to noise-cancelling while wearing their headphones.

The right side has more of the functional features, including the power button, volume functions, the LED indicator, microphone, aux input, and the Duo link button to connect your headphones to multiple devices at once.

Users are also able to fold the headphones to make them more compact when travelling around.

Performance

The sound quality on the Sprout Harmonic 4.0 Bluetooth Headphones, amongst a range of different music, is really great and is super clear. Not to mention how genuinely comfortable it is to wear the headphones, with the foam padding and the lightweight nature of the headphones.

Regarding the ANC feature, it’s good, but it doesn’t completely block out the external sound. It dulls the noise a little bit, but unless you’re listening to music or a podcast at full volume, you’ll still be able to hear some ambient noise with the ANC feature on.

One thing that did bother me with the headphones was the size of them, particularly the size of the case. The headphones are able to easily fold in on themselves, which would make you think that you could bring them around with you by making it more compact, but because the case holds the size of the headphones when they’re unfolded, it’s quite bulky.

Even having a large bag, it can be tedious to bring around and unpack during a commute, especially during peak hours when public transport can feel quite tight. You can bring along the headphones without the case, and fold it in to save space, but it defeats the purpose of having a protective case in the first place. So the aspect of being able to fold in the headphones feels quite useless.

Verdict & Value

The Sprout Harmonic 4.0 Bluetooth Headphones are great for everyday use, with high-quality sound and a lightweight feel.

So if you’re looking for a great alternative to noise-cancelling headphones with a lower price tag, this is your best bet! Not to mention, they’re an Aussie brand, so we love to support Aussie businesses!
