Your boy Flume just scored two Grammy nominations

Sydney electronic artist Flume, following a week of winning trophies at the ARIAs and the National Live Music Awards, just picked up two nominations for America’s biggest music prize: The Grammy. The nominations are for his album Skin, which scored a nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album and his track “Never Be Like You” featuring Kai, which has received a nomination for Best Dance Recording.

These are his first ever Grammy nominations, and follow on a huge year for the electronic artist, headlining stages at festivals all over the world. But Flume isn’t the only Aussie artist to get some Grammy love this year. Keith Urban also walked away with three nominations; his LP Ripcord garnerned a Best Country Album nomination, as did his track “Blue Ain’t Your Color” for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.

Sia also has three nominations, one for “Cheap Thrills” (Best Pop Duo/Group Performance), one for This Is Acting (Best Pop Vocal Album) and one for her co-write on “Try Everything” for the film Zootopia (Best Song Written For Visual Media). Her American producer Greg Kurstin also enjoyed a nomination for Non-Classical Producer of the Year.
