Untitled Goose Game Soundtrack gets nominated for an ARIA Award!

With today’s announcement of the 2020 ARIA Awards nominees, there were several curveball nominations thrown into the mix. One such surprise was the nomination in the Original Soundtrack/Original Cast Album category for the soundtrack to Untitled Goose Game. Composed by Dan Golding, the soundtrack for the smash hit Melbourne-made video game is a work of moment-to-moment beauty.

Golding’s tinkling, silent-film piano gives the antics of the game’s rebellious goose a sense of Play School whimsy. The layered score moves with the action on-screen as if performed by a live pianist, rising and falling with each transgressive player action. A masterful soundtrack and the perfect complement to becoming a horrible goose.

Golding’s soundtrack will be competing against soundtracks and scores from I Am Woman (Chelsea Cullen), A Boy Called Sailboat (Grigoryan Brothers), Mystery Road (Matteo Zingales & Antony Partos) and The Letdown (Sally Seltmann & Darren Seltmann).

The 2020 ARIA Awards will be taking place on Wednesday, 25th November 2020, at The Star, Sydney, on however, there will be no audience and no red carpet, in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions. The ceremony, however, will be broadcast live on the Nine Network and around the world on YouTube.
