Together Pangea list their 9 favourite Aussie classics ahead of tour with Bleeding Knees Club

Kicking off their Australian tour over Easter long weekend, LA’s own Together Pangea are going to be heading out on a belter with our favourites, Bleeding Knees Club! Bringing their latest album Bulls & Roosters out to Australian fans, the guys from Together Pangea are making sure this debut tour is one to remember.

Ahead of the shows, Together Pangea gives us some Australian classics that could very well be on their tour playlist, with a few surprises in tow…

EDDY CURRENT SUPPRESSION RING – “I Can Be a Jerk”

We’ve all been huge fans of Eddy Current Suppression Ring for years. When we started playing with Erik and writing Living Dummy, especially. I’ve got quite a few memories of doing Californian tours in William’s Honda CRV and blasting this album.

AC/DC – “You Shook Me All Night Long”

Do you like rock n roll??

THE DISTILLERS – “The Young Crazed Peeling”

Brody is from Australia and I remember hearing them play this when they opened for AFI in 2001 and losing my shit.

MEN AT WORK – “Land Down Under”

‘Coz why the fuck not, this song rules.

THE LIVING END – “Roll On”

This band rules. We went on tour with Me First and the Gimme Gimmes last spring and didn’t realise that their guitarist Chris, was Chris from The Living End ’til about halfway through and proceeded to fan boy out on a couple occasions.

THE BIRTHDAY PARTY – “Mr. Clarinet”

The Birthday Party rule, Nick Cave rules and this song has the nastiest distorted electric organ, which rules.

TOTAL CONTROL – “Carpet Rash”

Another contemporary amazing Australian band. The only new psych band I can stand.

KYLIE MINOGUE – “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”

Do you like pop??

SAVAGE GARDEN – “I Want You”

‘Cause who didn’t grow up listening to a lil Savage Garden? Oh wait, probably most of our fans…
