California post-hardcore legends Thrice have announced yesterday that they will be heading to Australia this September for The Artist in the Ambulance 20th Anniversary Tour, hosted by SBM Presents. The band will be performing their seminal record in its entirety across five dates in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Featuring the hits “Stare at the Sun” and “All That’s Left”, The Artist in the Ambulance peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard 200 and is widely considered one of the genre’s most influential albums. With deft guitarwork, catchy hooks and striking imagery, it’s no wonder that the record stood the test of time in an ever-evolving scene.

“Some of our favourite memories of touring in Australia are from the first time we toured The Artist in the Ambulance there,” says vocalist and guitarist Dustin Kensrue. “There was such a great energy to those shows and we can’t wait to do it again.”

General public tickets are on sale from Friday 27 January at 11am AEDT (get yours HERE). Follow Thrice on Facebook and Instagram for more.
