The St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival adds Young Thug to 2017 tour

The St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival dropped a bomb of an announcement for hip hop fans overnight, revealing that they managed to lock down Young Thug for the 2017 festival tour. Unfortunately for Thugger fans in Australia and New Zealand, there will be no sideshows, so the only way you’re going to be able to catch the Atlanta rapper is to buy your ticket to the festival.

We’re very keen to see how the Laneway Festival demographic develops for next year.

In a different lane, the festival also announced some more details regarding their extensive food and drink menus (yes, equally as important, y’hear?) – local food producers in each city are set to be given the spotlight and rightly so!

A small glimpse of what you can be nomming on is below…

BRISBANE: Barbecue Mafia will be on board with authentic Texan style BBQ brisket and other slow cooked, drool-worthy meats. Mr Burger will be flippin’ throughout the day, while Catch and Kiss are set to be on that seafood tip all day and night.

SYDNEY & MELBOURNE: Belle’s Hot Chicken, plus a range of locals will be doing their thing, including The Royale Brothers and Fonda Mexican in Melbourne and Mary’s, Porteno and UME Burger in Sydney.

ADELAIDE: Taco Cat and Chimichurri will be on deck at the Port to ensure that punters remain spiced up!

FREMANTLE: Lucky Chan’s bao bar and Eat No Evil will be representing for sustainable and free range produce, making it super tasty too.
