The Songs That Made Me “Need You”: Feather Touch’s Guest Playlist

Feather Touch has been making waves of late with his breakout single “The River” (featuring Aeora) and now “Need You”, a pulsating club banger laced with a good dose of future-pop. For this week’s featured guest playlist on the AU, the Sydney-based tropicalyso-disco producer takes us on a journey through his electric tastes that have led him to produce the music he’s making today.

Here’s what he had to say about the playlist:

My eclectic tastes in music have led me to the cross genre sound that Feather Touch now represents. From dance music based off samples through to pop driven by vocals I’ve always loved music that wears it’s heart on its sleeve and doesn’t mind tugging at the heart strings.

This playlist pulls together some of the songs that have been on high rotation while I’ve been writing this year. I think that Brendan Maclean has been dropping some amazing music of late and his latest “Hibernia” is about the building my studio is in so has some added feels for me. “get low (ft. Ric Rufio)” by upsidedownhead is huge and takes Rufus vibes in a dark brooding direction. “Resolution” by Benson and Rromarin is just an amazing colaboration by two artists I love and is a great pop/club cross over. High Hoops‘ single has been getting an absolute rinsing from me since its release as well with Flight Faclilites-esque drums and intimate vocals.
