The Gum Ball Festival returning in 2016!

The Hunter Valley bushland area of ‘Dashville’ will be hosting the return of the Gum Ball Festival next year! Following the festival’s break this year, the festival organisers have revealed that Gum Ball will indeed be returning in April. 2014 saw the Hoodoo Gurus headline a list of 30+ bands over the weekend to a full capacity crowd of 2500 and next year promises to take things up another scale.

2016 will see the Gum Ball run in a similar format to other years, providing festival goers with two stages full of music for three days and two nights. The site has been improved and developed, with further festival inclusions still to be announced. Held from April 22nd-24th, the Gum Ball Festival will be coinciding with the ANZAC Day Long Weekend, the last weekend of the school holidays.

Matt Johnston, festival organiser, says of Gum Ball’s return:

“In 2014 it was pretty overwhelming after all the work we had put in, to see how well the festival had grown over its 10 years, not in size but quality. A lot of people were bummed that we had a year off, but after some great rest and recovery we are excited to be bringing it back, bigger than ever.”

Early bird tickets for the Gum Ball Festival will be available for purchase in early November, with the line up to follow in December. To check out more about the festival, head to www.thegumball.com.au!
