The Church with George Ellis Orchestra at Sydney Opera House

Steve Kilbey and The Church delivered a beautiful performance at the Sydney Opera House, with George Ellis conducting the orchestra and bringing a fresh perspective to the band’s much-love catalogue

Steve Kilbey’s distinctive vocals remained at the centre, floating above the orchestral arrangements while the band’s layered guitars created a shimmering wall of sound. Familiar songs were transformed, taking on a greater sense of scale and emotional depth without losing the mysterious edge that has always made The Church so distinctive.

Pete Dovgan was there to capture the performance. See below for tickets for the remaining performances.
