There’s good news for Sydney fans of The Black Crowes, with a second show now locked in at Enmore Theatre on Wednesday 8th April after the first date quickly sold out. The added night gives local audiences another chance to catch the band’s return, bringing their bluesy, swagger-heavy take on rock and roll back to an Australian stage.
The Australian run will be the first chance to see the band live following the release of their new album, A Pound of Feathers, offering an early look at how the new material sits alongside a catalogue that stretches back more than three decades. It’s a catalogue that began with their breakout debut Shake Your Money Maker, a multi-platinum release that quickly established the band as one of the defining rock acts of the early 90s, driven by tracks like “Hard to Handle” and “She Talks to Angels”.
Formed by brothers Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson, The Black Crowes carved out their own lane early, blending Southern rock, blues and classic rock influences with a raw, unpolished edge. Follow-up releases including The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion and Amorica reinforced their reputation, while constant touring helped cement their status as a formidable live act. Even through lineup changes, hiatuses and shifting trends, the band has remained committed to doing things on their own terms.

Since reuniting as a band in 2019, they’ve returned to the road with renewed focus, taking their live show across the globe and reconnecting with audiences old and new. Their most recent album, Happiness Bastards, brought them back into the spotlight with a GRAMMY nomination, while A Pound of Feathers, recorded in Nashville with legendary Jay Joyce, captures a more immediate, stripped-back energy that leans into their roots.
Fans can expect a set that pulls from across the band’s career, with staples like “Remedy” sitting alongside newer material, delivered the same loose, high-energy approach that has defined their live shows for decades.
Joining them on all dates are The Southern River Band, a band that has built a strong following on the back of their relentless touring and high-impact live performances, making them a fitting addition to the lineup.
The tour begins in Melbourne at The Forum on 2nd and 3rd April, before heading to Fortitude Music Hall, Brisbane on 6th April, and wrapping up in Sydney with two shows at the Enmore Theatre on 8th and 9th April.
