American metalcore outfit Of Mice & Men have recently been in Australia debuting their latest album Restoring Force at Soundwave Festival and sideshows all around the country. the AU review’s Larry Heath caught up with the five-piece in Brisbane and spoke about the reception they’ve had so far: “I’m getting to play these new songs literally all over the world… It’s such a rewarding experience to be able to come up here and play [the new album] at night and see the crowd singing the new songs louder than our old ones.”
Soundwave 2015 saw Of Mice & Men perform side by side with the likes of Slipknot, Faith No More and The Smashing Pumpkins – an impressive feat. The band seemed grateful when asked about their experienced this tour, saying: “Not everyone gets the opportunity to get to tour with bands that have been bands for 30+ years… and it’s cool that we can give back to the fans too and all come together for a common goal of music and that’s kind of the overall feeling at these kinds of festivals. That’s why we do them.”
