British alternative-folk band Bear’s Den sat down with the AU’s Editor-in-Chief, Larry at Edmonton Folk Music Festival. This is the second time the band has performed at the festival, having graced the stages last year as well. Famous for its songwriters-in-the round method of collaboration, the Edmonton Folk Music Festival impressed Andrew, saying: “it creates a cool energy, we loved it and couldn’t wait to come back”. Performing with fellow folk artists John Smith and Jenn Grant in front of live crowds, covering famous Bruce Springsteen songs was at first daunting for them; “we tried not to mess them up! They’re so good, such great songs”.
The band won’t be heading back home just yet, “we’re trying to work on our new album as much as possible, which is quite challenging given the constant travelling”. Following Edmonton, the band heads to Vancouver, then Germany as part of an October UK and Europe tour. Check out the full interview below:
