The AIR Awards relocating to Adelaide for the next three years as part of new industry partnership

A huge coup for the South Australian music industry, the renowned and revered AIR Awards – normally held in Melbourne – have been relocated to Adelaide from this July.  Now set to be part of the ever-growing South Australian calendar of live music events, the AIR Awards will be headlining the annual Umbrella: Winter City Sounds series this year.

Bolstering its standing as a UNESCO City of Music, the AIR Awards will be bringing industry figures from all over the country to Adelaide on July 27th, with the awards ceremony taking place at the iconic Queen’s Theatre venue. In partnership with Adelaide city venues, AIR award attendees will have a smorgasbord of live shows to experience while in the city for the event, with the debut of the AIR Industry Conference (July 27th-28th). A fine opportunity to learn, network and experience a new music scene for many, the conference looks to set a precedent when it’s come to events like this in South Australia.
