What music or artists inspired you?
It’s hard to nail down exactly where my songwriting inspiration comes from, because I love such a diverse range of music. But I’d probably have to say that my passion for the folk-based singer/songwriters of the 60s and 70s (such as Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, James Taylor) really helped me to unlock my songwriting skills the most.

How did you get started?
As a youngster I picked up Mum’s old spanish guitar and taught myself to play by watching Tommy Emmanuel videos, huddled in my bedroom for countless hours.. I started dabbling in song writing in my early teens and later, after backpacking overseas I eventually settled in Brisbane and started playing at small venues and parties, armed with a big pile of original music.

How would you best describe your live show:
A soaring voice of sincerity and rhythm-filled finger-picking.

What shows do you have coming up?
I’ll be playing shows to support my new EP release later in the year, keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
My last independent EP Looking Life In The Eye was a labour of love – I wrote, recorded, produced, played most of the instruments and even painted the cover artwork. It was a lot of fun and I was gobsmacked with the amount of support I received for it.
