Sounds Australia presenting ‘Insights Into International Genre Events’ in Adelaide this month

Sounds Australia heads to Adelaide next week, hosting the ‘Insights Into International Genre Events’ session in partnership with Music SA, Musitec and the Music Development Office on July 13th.

The session will see artists and industry members who have frequented events and conferences including Americana, Classical: NEXT, Amsterdam Dance Event, WOMEX and more providing insights into how their events run and how they may appeal to those thinking ahead to either attending or implementing ideas of their own on the local front.

Genre events all over the world have become prime opportunities for Australian artists to showcase and export internationally and for this specific event to be coming to South Australia, it’s definitely an opportunity for locals not to miss. Music SA will be organising one on one meetings with the Sounds Australia reps the next day (July 14th) from 10am through until 5pm for artists and managers seeking the opportunity to attend one of the many international conferences within the next year.

To be involved, you’ll need to register via the online form, available HERE. Both events are open to anyone interested! Panelists set to appear at the ‘Insights Into International Genre Events’ session include Jennifer Greer Holmes (Jazzahead & Classical: NEXT), Liam Gerner (Americana) and Cathy Kirkpatrick (WOMEX).
