Single of the Day: Trü “Take A Peek” (2017)

The resurgence of 90s indie and/or grunge inspired rock has seen both melancholy and massive bands on the scene, some taking the genre in modern and inspired directions. New Jersey’s Trü are definitely in the latter category, their rhythmic guitars work injected with a certain shoegaze feel.

“Take A Peek” is the opening track from their upcoming debut EP, described by Patrick DeFrancisci (guitar/vox) as being about a situation common to many of our lives. “Someone you care about and trust turns around and does something incredibly hurtful. In this particular situation, it was about an ex who dumped me about a week before we were supposed to move in together.”

The catharsis of song writing is definitely felt in this track; chuck a listen below.
