Single of the Day: The Love Junkies “I Had a Party Once” (2016)

The Love Junkies have been away for a little while working on some new tunes and continuing on establishing their presence in the US – the boys recently completed their last American run of shows last month, taking in over 20 shows, including another well-received SXSW visit. Now, the Perth rockers are setting their sights back on getting new music out to Aussie fans, firstly with the release of “I Had a Party Once”!

The single is the second taken from The Love Junkies’ forthcoming third album, is fun, featuring some great guitars and percussion, while the lyricism takes on the aftermath of a relationship gone sour. Vocalist Mitch McDonald explains “I Had a Party Once” as being about ‘a shitty romance and all the repercussions’ but the final result? A killer tune.
