Single of the Day: Tesse “Keep It Simple” (2018)

Opening our week of new sounds is the latest from Sydney’s Tesse, in “Keep It Simple”. A bright follow up from their debut – “I’ll Tell You in the Morning” – the latest from singer songwriter Tom Stephens is an instant earworm.

Keeping the vibe laid back, the quality of Stephens’ writing and arrangement shines on this track. The intimacy and comfort felt with Stephens’ expression on “I’ll Tell You in the Morning” is furthered on “Keep It Simple”; a warmth radiating through the groove on this one. Taken from Tesse’s How it All Unfolds record, due out later this year, “Keep It Simple” has us hooked.
