Howl about this one, y’hear? Sophisticated Dingo return with a blistering new single in “Yuppies” and as is just dose of garage punk we needed this week. The song is catchy, guitars bounding off tight percussion, while after listening to this one a few times through, you’re guaranteed to be spouting “Yuppies, baby” in no time.
“We wrote “Yuppies” after Jimmy would arrive at band practice after 11 hour shifts at a cafe and running his mouth about the customers he was having to deal with.” Lewis from the band says. “Cafe-goers complaining about having to settle for dark rye when light-rye wasn’t available, complaints about the music being too loud, and baristas being forced to froth 3 different types of milk at once all for some f***wit who wants it served with a shot of decaf!”
