Single of the Day: Nick Murphy “Your Time” (2017)

While I never thought I could fully accept the transition for Chet Faker to Nick Murphy, I think I have finally been converted. His newest track “Your Time”, which is from his Missing Link EP, show’s him flexing his creative muscles and exploring his sound – and let me tell you, we like what he is finding.

Produced by Kaytranada, the single stands apart with a contrast between the almost grittiness of the beats and the emotion and vulnerability in his voice, while the strong lyrics make it work perfectly together. This one will definitely be on repeat for a while.

If you are keen to see the new material in person, Nick Murphy will be performing at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid LIVE next month before going overseas to tour.
