The Blastoma countdown is well and truly on, with only weeks to go until NGAIIRE‘s new album is with fans in all its glory. To keep us hanging on in the meantime, the lady herself has recently gifted us with a brand new single in “House on a Rock”, showing NGAIIRE at her most electrified, her grittiest yet.
Where previous singles “Once” and “Diggin'” did well in showcasing the delicacies in her vocal range and the evocative presence her musicality brings in a beats-heavy environment, “House on a Rock” mixes things up a bit, incorporating heavy keys and production permeating beneath that full-flavoured chorus and vocal quality.
Another example of NGAIIRE’s strong upward trajectory, “House on a Rock” is definitely going to be a standout on Blastoma, though from what we’ve heard so far, the album looks set to be littered with these gems.
