Single of the Day: Broken Social Scene “Halfway Home” (2017)

Holy crap, new Broken Social SceneNEW BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE.

In new single “Halfway Home”, we have been dealt the first piece of new music from the Canadian group since 2010. For me, that was second year uni – a year that became dedicated to the ins and outs of their acclaimed Forgiveness Rock Record. On this soaring return of a track, Broken Social Scene don’t make their re-entry to our atmosphere meekly. They storm though with rousing choruses, riffs and percussion that draws the vibrancy of their music that many around the world have loved for years out, and reminds us why we fell in love with them in the first place.

The band recently announced a full blown European tour which is also exciting, so to see their release of new music already at this level? We can’t wait to see how those initial shows back treat ’em. In the meantime, hit ‘play’ below.
