Single of the Day: Blyolk “Artshole” (2017)

Continuing to warp some clean cut pop edge with well-crafted psych elements, Melbourne artist Blyolk returns with a new single in “Artshole”. When we were first introduced to Blyolk in 2016 through the gritty “Don Wowry”, there were indicators that this was just the beginning for the interesting producer and vocalist.

“Artshole” expands on those initial ideas and builds on themes of freedom and self-indulgence. Self-produced and mixed, “Artshole” saw Blyolk link up with Joe Lambert (Toro y Moi, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis) for mastering, while local talents Guy Louis Faletolu and Nick Herrera also lent their skills to additional mixing and production.
