Alice Ivy is gearing up for the release of her much anticipated debut album, I’m Dreaming, next month and man, we’ve been loving this one since we copped a cheeky advance stream this week (review coming soon). The Melbourne producer and songwriter has been doing her thing on the local scene for a few years now and more recently, the international market has been calling, leading her overseas to try her hand in some thriving music scenes outside Australia.
But on the homefront, things are just as exciting for Alice Ivy. Ahead of the release of I’m Dreaming, she’s released a brand new single in “Chasing Stars”, featuring one of Australia’s long-slept on songwriters and performers, Bertie Blackman. Infectious and melodic, the tune is an instant winner for us; as Blackman’s distinctive vocals work in brilliantly with Alice Ivy’s production of immaculate disco-house beats, layered with pop flair.
