Ruby Fields announces December tour dates in Sydney and Melbourne

We know you’ve been waiting for this one. Announced via triple j today, Ruby Fields fans in Melbourne and Sydney won’t have to wait until next year’s Laneway Festival to catch the singer-songwriter live thanks to a brief two-date East Coast tour set in support of her breathtaking latest single “Dinosaur”.

Much like her debut single “I Want”, which saw her triple followers overnight, Ruby has watched the heartfelt nostalgia of “Dinosaur” become one of the year’s most treasured singles. Not bad for someone who only burst onto the music scene last year, and now has three singles under her belt plus a highly successful debut EP with Your Dads Opinion for Dinner. She’s already been on two sold out national tours, so we’re not expecting tickets for these two shows to last very long.

Fields, who is currently on the road with big-ticket bands San Cisco and Ball Park Music, has been hard at work on her forthcoming sophomore EP. Let’s hope that we’ll get a nice preview of that at these shows.

“I’ve finally got to dig a bit deeper with my songwriting and I want to cap off the year with two huge shows with my mates”, said Fields. “Come get tinned and think about being a kid”.

All tickets to the below shows are on sale now from rubyfieldsmusic.com. Ruby has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from each ticket sold will go to the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and their work raising language, literacy and numeracy standards for Indigenous, refugee and marginalised communities within Australia
