R&B songstress Brandy announces debut Australian and New Zealand tour

It’s been a long time since a 15 year old Brandy stepped onto the scene with “I Wanna Be Down”, the lead single from her self-titled debut album. Since then the enduring R&B songstress has gone on to achieve massive success in both music and television (Moesha ran for six successful seasons), across an awarded career that spans two decades. An Australian tour is well overdue. Today, it’s been announced that Brandy will be heading to Australia and New Zealand for the very first time to perform four exclusive shows with her own live band.

From the aforementioned “I Wanna Be Down” to her brand new, blues-leaning single “Beggin’ & Pleadin” to a lead role in last year’s Broadway production of Chicago, Brandy has a massive stock of hits to fill these sets with, many of which have charted well down under, seen her go on to sell tens of millions of albums, and even pick up a few Grammy Awards.

Brandy will first be heading to Auckland on the 15th June before stepping onto Australian soil in Perth on Friday 17th June, after which she’ll head to Sydney on 20th June and wrap up a day after in Melbourne on 21st June. Fans can grab tickets to either show in a pre-sale on Tuesday 3rd May from 8am, or a general sale on Thursday 5th May at 8am (local times).
