Tom Morello – lead guitarist from the legendary bands Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave and Prophets of Rage – delivered a raw energy master class at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre last night.
Morello is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential guitarists of the modern era, blending heavy metal, punk rock, funk, and hip-hop into a unique and powerful sound.
From his opening blistering solo song “Soldier In The Army of Love“ the night was set for an evening of rock and roll magic that included a medley of songs from RATM “Bulls On Parade”, “Guerilla Radio” and Audioslave tracks “Cochise” and “Like A Stone”.
The highlight was the cover of MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams” and the climatic finish of RATM’s “Killing In The Name” and John Lennon’s classic “Power To The People” with the crowd going off!
Supported by local Hip Hop artist Brigg’s with his new band Big Noter embracing a blend of metal, punk, and hardcore elements and the crowd loved it.
