UK five-piece Ezra Collective lit up the Forum on Thursday night with a set bursting with rhythm, joy, and pure talent. Blending Afrobeat, hip-hop, and jazz, the band had the crowd moving from the jump, with drummer Femi Koleoso setting the pace alongside Joe Armon-Jones (keys), TJ Koleoso (bass), Ife Ogunjobi (trumpet), and James Mollison (sax).
The set pulled from their latest record, Dance, No One’s Watching, with highlights like “God Gave Me Feet for Dancing” and “No One’s Watching Me” alongside fan favourites “Ajala” and “You Can’t Steal My Joy.” The Forum was theirs; sweaty, loose and euphoric.
The tour pushes on this weekend to a sold-out Sydney for Vivid LIVE and then to Brisbane for Open Season, which you can still snap up tickets to HERE
Eloise Coomber was there to capture the action.
