Nominations now open for this year’s National Indigenous Music Awards!

Nominations for this year’s National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMA) opens tomorrow and this is an opportunity for people part of the Indigenous Music Industry to be recognised for their excellence, dedication, innovation and outstanding contribution for their work.

The theme for this year’s NIMA is Protest Songs, due to the amount of milestones reached in the Indigenous World as of recent. Nominations for the general public will be available between July 2015 – June 2016.

The National Categories include: Artist / Album / Song / New Talent / Film Clip / Cover Art and Community Music Project – Community Music Clip.

NT Artists can also be nominated in: School Band and Traditional Music. Nominations are also encouraged for the NIMA Hall of Fame.

Australian Indigenous solo artists and groups are eligible to apply. You can check out the general criteria HERE.

Nominations are now open and will close on June 17th2016.
