MusicNT unveils live music line up & industry panel for 20th anniversary celebrations

MusicNT are celebrating 20 years this year and alongside what’s set to be a huge NT Song of the Year awards in July, the crew behind it all have unveiled more details about their 20th birthday which includes a killer live music showcase, as well as an opportunity for NT musicians to pick the brains of visiting interstate industry folk via a special Music Industry Connect event.

The NT Song of the Year Awards is taking place on July 9th at the Museum and Art Gallery of the NT, hosted by triple J’s Dom Alessio and will be featuring a whole range of performances from past winners and finalists up for this year’s awards. People’s Choice voting opens June 14th while at the moment, an extensive judging panel is listening through the huge amount of submissions already logged. The official 20th Birthday Showcase is to be held at the Darwin Railway Club on July 8th, with the nine artists selected to perform announced today. The featured artists come from all over the NT and include:

GAIA (Darwin/Palmerston)

Southeast Desert Metal (Santa Theresa)

MusicNT’s Music Industry Connect event will see eight industry names travelling to Darwin to not only attend and represent for their organisations at the NT Song of the Year Awards, but to also take part in this networking and information session, open to all musicians interested.

The free event at the MusicNT office in Darwin’s CBD will also be hosting a sausage sizzle (because we all know free food is a bonus for anything…!). RSVP to the event by clicking HERE. Visiting the NT for the event are the following:
