Music Video of the Day: The Horrors “Something to Remember Me By” (2017)

Released from their new album VThe Horrors have recently dropped a new music video for “Something to Remember Me By” – a look at the obsession with celebrity and its relationship (oftentimes twisted) with the music industry.

The song itself has been lauded as one of The Horrors’ best yet and it’s not hard to see why – in “Something to Remember Me By”, the band is at their most progressive yet. Vibrant and euphoric in tone, The Horrors have properly levelled up with V and “Something to Remember Me By” is a perfect of example of the musical headspace the Brits are currently writing in.

Directed by Max Weiland, the music video sees the band captures and used for the corporate, mass market – a deliberate commentary on the industry’s attempt at taking advantage of celebrity obsession.

“A strange corporation harvests The Horrors for their real blood, sweat, tears and more, turning their bodily fluids into consumer products ready for the mass market.”
