Music Video of the Day: Sticky Fingers “Outcast At Last” (2016)

Y’all remember Sticky Fingers, right? Sydney’s favourite sons have been off around the world, continuing to win hearts, smash out incredible shows and bring more STI FI fans into what’s become a fiercely loyal music family. The boys are coming home for an Australian tour (that hasn’t needed much promotion at all to sell out the majority of dates) and to get us psyched for the love-in, they’ve dropped a new music video for their new single, “Outcast At Last”.

Premiering on radio this week, “Outcast At Last” is still pipin hot and fresh, the first taste of the new Sticky Fingers material to come out of recent writing and recording sessions with Dann Hume in Thailand. As you might expect, their new sound is as melodic and classically StiFi as you’d expect and the music video is…well, again. Hit out the ballpark.

The band is bathed in gorgeous lights as Dylan Frost confronts the camera with lyrics while the rest of the clip’s narrative is a ballsy gangster/mob type romp set in the 1970’s; the cars are mint, there’s Hawaiian shirts and coloured aviator glasses – it could be Fear and Loathing, it could be Australia back in the day…who knows? It’s a fun watch all the same and we can’t wait to see what the boys have got coming up next.
