Music Video of the Day: Spit Syndicate “Inhibitions” (2016)

Spit Syndicate have been slept on for an embarrassing amount of time, if I’m honest. True, the Sydney duo  have maintained a loyal fanbase who’ve been rocking with them since 2008’s Towards the Light, it’s not a far stretch to guess Lupi and Jimmy Nice garnered a larger chunk of attention through their work within the One Day crew in the last few.

In 2010’s Exile and of course, 2013’s Sunday Gentlemen, we saw Spit Syndicate earn more acclaim but in the years between Sunday Gentlemen and now, we’ve been waiting for the lads to take another leap forward. Which brings us to their latest single releases in “Know Better” and now, “Inhibitions”.

Stylish and sleek, the recent Spit Syndicate sounds line up perfectly with the well-received hip-hop/trap beat fusion that has been topping charts commercially here and abroad. Look to the music fellow Aussie hip-hop artist B Wise is throwing down in particular and you can get an idea of the style Spit Syndicate have further propelled into the Australian scene, especially with “Inhibitions”.

The music video dropped this week – another A* addition to Spit Syndicate’s wider body of work. With summer festival dates coming up for Lupi and Jimmy, we eagerly anticipate what 2017 holds for the boys as no doubt, more people are about to wake up and take notice of what they have to offer moving ahead.
