Hands up if you have, at one point, idolised Alexis Krauss?
Hand firmly in the air this afternoon, we are digging the latest tune from Sleigh Bells in “It’s Just Us Now”. The music video has been unveiled this week, directed by Derek Miller – we see Krauss facedown in a pool before she emerges, mascara streaming down her face. From the pool, the clip takes off with Krauss fleeing through and freaking out in a field, all the while a bandanna-clad Miller plays guitar.
It might not make total sense on the first watch but it’s badass all the same, a reminder of the attitude Sleigh Bells have always been known for displaying in their music. “It’s Just Us Now” is taken from their new album Jessica Rabbit, the first new Sleigh Bells record in three years, released this November.
