Music Video of the Day: RKDA “Frontline” (2016)

Dark, broody and shimmery at the same time, Melbourne electronic trio RKDA have been fashioning themselves into a dynamic act to be watching. Following on from the release of their debut EP CS, the group have been building strength behind some meticulously produced and sharply executed pieces of haunting and gorgeously melancholic music.

Their latest single “Frontline” is a perfect example of the above, as RKDA make another stamp on our radar; they balance the oftentimes colder elements of electronic production with layers of delicateness too – it’s chilling but captivating at the same time.

Today, we’re digging the single’s official music video, directed by Emma Rose Sullivan, filmed and edited by Cacho Mendoza. Matching up perfectly with the vibe the music exudes, the visuals for “Frontline” are edgy and draws you in.

RKDA play the Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar in Sydney tomorrow night. They move on to The Milk Factory in Brisbane on August 20th, before their hometown launch show in Melbourne at Hugs & Kisses on September 1st. Find out more about the group HERE.
